Jesse Alonso Chacón Escamillo, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and Mr Dazhu Yang, IAEA Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Technical Cooperation, signed Venezuela’s Country Programme Framework (CPF) for the period of 2018–2025 on 11 September 2018. Venezuela has been an IAEA Member State since 1957. Its 2018–2025 CPF identifies six priority areas:

Nuclear radiation safety and security
Food and agriculture
Health and nutrition
Water and environment
Energy and industry
Human resource development
